HEY THERE, I'M

I've spent more than 15 years in K-12 education: in the classroom as a general and special education teacher, as a special education and student support director, and as a head of schools. Across all of it, my focus has been the same: finding what is actually holding a school back and fixing it in the right order.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse communities and leadership environments across multiple states, including California, Idaho, Arizona, and West Virginia. Those experiences have shaped one of my strongest beliefs: sustainable change is never built through programs alone. It is built through clear systems, intentional leadership, strong relationships, and cultures where people feel valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. My doctoral research focused on adult learning, leadership development, and sustainable organizational change. That work continues to shape how I partner with schools, leaders, and organizations today.

My passion for this work deepened during a pivotal season early in my administrative career when I stepped into leadership during a time of significant organizational challenge. What began as a difficult transition became one of the most defining experiences of my professional life. Through relationship-building, accountability, systems redesign, and a steady focus on culture, I helped lead a transformation that strengthened trust, improved collaboration, and rebuilt the foundation of the organization.

Since then, I've led that work at scale. In a 14-school California virtual charter network serving 25,000+ students, I rebuilt special education, MTSS and compliance systems across a four-school region, improved results year over year under state monitoring, and brought inherited six-figure due process exposure under control. As Head of Schools of a statewide virtual charter in West Virginia, I led a one-year turnaround: graduation rose from 81% to 91%, chronic absenteeism fell from 25% to under 7%, and third-grade reading proficiency doubled.

Through Simply Simple Education, I help charter, virtual and public schools do the same: audit and rebuild special education and student support systems, guide turnaround work alongside leaders and boards, and step in as interim leadership when a school needs it.

While education is the foundation of my experience and expertise, my work has always been about people first. I help leaders and teams create clarity, strengthen culture, build systems that actually work, and move forward in ways that are both practical and sustainable.

At the core of everything I do is the belief that meaningful change does not have to be complicated to be impactful. The strongest schools and organizations create clarity, build trust, lead with consistency, and never lose sight of the people behind the work.

Outside of my professional life, I value the roles that keep me grounded most: wife, daughter, sister, friend, and advocate. Those relationships continue to shape how I lead, how I serve others, and how I approach the work of helping schools, teams, and organizations become healthier, stronger, and more aligned.
